The Brooklyn Heist has a stellar cast including Danny Masterson (That '70s Show), Leon (The Temptations) and Dominique Swain (Lolita) who bring to life this stylish spoof of the beloved heist comedy genre about three teams of small-time criminals decide to rip off an irascible pawnshop owner's legendary riches.
The basic story is several gangs of thieves all want to heist one particular pawn shop, all on the same night. Each gang is from a different lifestyle... and is filmed accordingly. The Hip-Hop gangbangers are shot in vivid color MTV-styled fast cut shots. The 70s styled gang is shot in faded / muted colors, reminiscent of films back then.

The heist is suggested as a way to distract and help Terry before his Lieutenant's exam. The heist was originally meant to take place during Halloween, but doesn't due to Terry deciding to stand a chance of winning the heist he couldn't let it be on Halloween as he would have no control over the events, thus fakes a gas explosion on Halloween for the heist to take place at a later date.
